Welcome to the new Wavelength Search feature. This pretty powerful tool searches all articles in the database. There are some things you should know when searching Wavelength:- If your search returns too many articles (over 50% of all articles), you will get no results. If you want to force the search to return the results, add a boolean operator (documented below).
- This tool will search the title, description, and content of an article and will return a "score". You can compare each result's score to see how much more/less an article matches your query.
Boolean Operators:- A leading + indicates that this word must be included in the result.
- A leading - indicates that this word must NOT be included in the result.
- Leading > and < operators increase or decrease the relevance of the word.
- A leading ~ gives the word a negative score.
- ( and ) are used to group subexpressions
- * (which should be at the end of the word, not leading) indicates that this is only the beginning of the word.
- Quotation marks " " match a phrase in whole.
