One of the major problems holding back allot of mappers and other moders has been Valves new GCF format for steam, which up until now has been impossible to look inside, let alone export those all important texture wads you need for mapping. Thanks to the wonderful Nem all our problems are solved! He has released a fully functional GCF explorer/exporter that can read Valves GCF format, and extract any file that you may need. The only caveat is that you will need to have the .NET framework installed, but that's a small price to pay for such a handy app! You can get both GCFScape, and the framework at Nems website.

Well that's cool. I might actually install steam now.
