Well I made another new skin. It does look similar to the current layout, except that it chops off the vertical gaps, and adds some more subtle detail. Even though most people don't like the skins I make, I decided to let you all know it's available. It's not the default. If you want to see the other skins available, go to Control Panel in the header bar, then Skins->Skin Chooser.

(There's a reason it's called Wavelength 3.rkzad and not Wavelength 3.everybody... I know at least I like it, lol)

If you have any constructive criticism, though, (so I can learn for any future skins I could possibly make *eek*) feel free to leave a comment.

If you want to see Wavelength a new, better, layout, bug Megasaxon!!

This skin is better than the standard WL3.0 skin, not quite so blinding to look at... It's even visible at 1800x1440 resolution...

Wow... whodathunkit(sp?)

Anyways, all you guys are free to make your own skins too. File->Save the webpage, and tinker with the CSS file til you get something that looks good.

About the horizontal spacing, because of the way I wrote wavelength, it's not possible to get rid of it via CSS.. you can only change the size of it (which is sketchy to do).

Okay XENO... if you actually want to look at the website in 1800x1440.. you can try changing the Text Size (Internet Explorer: View->Text Size: Large).

In Wavelength 3.rkzad all the fonts are based on percentages instead of exact pixels now.

Yeah, doesn't look right with my current text size. But it's still pretty cool.

Although I know it's not efficient and worth the time, it would be really convenient to have the forums and articles use the same type of skin system. I'm sure it's possible someway, but I'm also sure no one would like to spend so much time for something no one would notice anyways ^_^

The forum skinning system is WAY more complicated than skins for articles.

Plus, I'm not too familiar with modding Invision board, so Bulk would have to do it.

Posted By: Bulk on Jan 26 2004 at 16:01:06
Its theoretically possible to do it, but it would mean going over every single peice of HTML that makes up the forum template.. which would be a complete pain in the butt to do.

Another reason I'm leaving it to Bulk :)
