A New Steam update has been released this morning.

This update brings the long awaited offline playing ability (great for modders on a dialup connection!) as well as a few other fixes.

This update also includes a Half-Life 2 Hardware Survey which Valve are using to determine how technologically advanced the playerbases computers are. You can view the survey as it is updated Here.

You can also view the complete news post right on the Steam webpage: Here.

Hmm... the results for the hardware survey are rather interesting. Things have changed since the days of 1.1.0.8/1.1.0.9

The old survey is availible at http://valve.speakeasy.net

Wow, more than a quarter of the people are running in 800x600... things must seem really huge :) Such resolutions always made me claustrophobic.
