Hey folks just wanted to give you a rundown on some of the articles posted on TWL recently.

You may have noticed that the basic MP sdk is missing a few things, like a working scoreboard for instance. Well step in omega! You can find a a quick tutorial on setting up a basic MP scoreboard by him right here. If you find that interesting, you might want to give his basic skeletal MP how-to a lookie as well.

Also we have a simply massive tutorial up by Josiwe, right here. His description is better than any I could come up with:
A fully documented exploration into the weapon_rpg class, starting with the basecombatweapon class and moving up the inheritance stack. The first part of the article disects basecombatweapon_shared. This article is aimed at intermediate to advanced coders, as well as SDK beginners and up.

It's an extremely in depth tutorial, and is very highly recommended. Here's hoping he posts some more!

Next up is a simple tutorial by hopper on creating a material with transparency that can be used in a VGUI menu, and also covers adding the image to a custom VGUI panel of your own. It was posted a few weeks ago, but deserved a mention! Go have a look.

And last but not least, I just wanted to let you know that we have a local mirror of the latest version of GCFscape (1.2.5) right here, as the website has been down for nearly 3 months now.

Good updates. Too bad there aren't more articles for HL2. Of course, it's not like I help out a lot with them, so I can't really talk about that. But even without a whole bunch of new articles, the forums stay pretty active, which is always a good thing.
