After a bit of chatting we decided to run a gamedev competition.
This is according to LD48 rules (Can be found here http://www.mechanicalcat.net/tech/ld48/ )

Whats a gamedev competition?

 QUOTE
The 48-Hour Game Programming Competition is a "mostly from scratch", timed, solo coding challenge where all willing game developers spend their allowed time making the best game they can under a common theme.

The competition is this Saturday and Sunday, (0000 GMT+1 Saturday to 0000 GMT+1 Monday)

We're currently taking votes on the themes:
1) * land acquisition
2) * influence
3) * The anti-death

Join the IRC channel on irc.gamesurge.net at #wavelength (Find out how, or chat live).

Vote on IRC if you can because that's just easier for me to keep track, especially if you don't want anyone to know your vote.

Voting doesn't mean you have to participate, but if you already know you're not going to participate, don't vote please.

Any questions, join IRC and ask me or X-0ut.

Details can be found in this thread: http://forums.thewavelength.net/index.php?...showtopic=11393

The date for this article reads "Feb 25 2005".

Something borked. Either that, or I'm REALLY behind on the times. o.oEdited by NOmad on Sep 29 2005, 21:52:01

Yeah, this article is ancient. Although we are coming back with these competitions. We are adding a website and everything ( which is kindly hosted by TWL ).
