Well you guys complained, so 2 hours before leaving to university I made a Wavelength 3.0 Tan skin based on colours off of the old website, and with a little reminder of the old Wavelength logo in the top right corner. Enjoy.
Edit By Bulk: I've also added a new skin called "Minty Fresh". Those who have ever been to my home page will recognise it. |

I think the Wavelength font's better now? It's more like how it used to be... difference is I didn't use all upper case. |
yeah, verdana with not all uppercase, even with italics looks better :)
altho without the italics would be best, but eh, im willing to settle :P Edit: I stand corrected :)Edited by Megasaxon on Aug 29 2003, 12:43:40

the tan skin looks like sand with pee on it |
yeesh, I've also added a "classic" skin, that is inspired by the original site design. |
Classic design and minty fresh don't look liek pee on sand, so they're cool! but you should change "half-life" to game ;p |
I cant with out remaking the logo image, I dont have the source file :\ I just resized the original one.Edited by Bulk on Aug 29 2003, 14:57:29

Need the tan version for the forums too! |
The clasic skin rules!
Did you notice that it doesnt actually say "your source for half-life editing" but instead says "'our source for half-life editin" because the Y at the beginning and the G at the end are too dim.
On the tan skin, shouldn you use the old chrome "Wavelength forums" logo (from the tan forums) with the forums part removed? It just seems to me that that would be the best thing to do...

I had nothing better to do so I messed about with the logo from the classic skin to replace half-lfie with game. I know it's not very good, but I decided to post a link anyway.

Yes, yes, its all good. When will the development pack be released? |
I *like* the 'Original Wavelength' skin (with the orange and black). Looks good after PHL switched to horrible colours. |
Thanks Cause Of Death, your logo is now live on the site =) |
It would be sorta neat if the forums used the same CSS selection that the user has... |
Ive talked to rkzad about that, and its a possiblity for future versions. The main problem being its currenty very much harder to develope skins for the forum so there won't always be a forum counterpart to a site skin, which means the selection system has to be coded to take that in to account, which makes it less of an easy job...
It's certainly on the drawing board though. |
What if I let WL use my custom forums and backend? |
I never understood why message board authors make skin creation so difficult. It should be as simple as a css file and a few other minor things. Silly invision. |
